A beautiful Czech etched glass vase designed by Frantisek Zemek for Zelezny Brod C1957.

The Zelezny Brod Glassworks also known as Zeleznobrodske Sklo was established in 1948 as a result of Nationalisation. It was made up of nine glass factories in Zelezny Brod & became well known for its popular free form organic vases & bowls designed between 1950 to 1980.

This beautiful vase shape was shown in the landmark publication "Modern Bohemian Glass" by Josef Raban.

The vase has applied yellow glass trails and an etching of two fish amongst aquatic weed. The etching is initialled.

Smooth polished base.

20.5cm tall

13cm at the widest point.

Weighing 675 grams.
