Hutte Dietrich Eckart dining tray..

Porcelain dining tray, 10 3/4" x 8 1/4", with three food compartments, decorated with transfer-printed flowers at the edges.

The bottom edge bearing the legend "Hutte Dietrich Eckart", indicating use at the lodge at Berchtesgaden, also known as the "Gollhausl", used by NSDAP co-founder and Beer Hall Putsch participant Dietrich Eckart as a retreat from scrutiny by Bavarian authorities until his death in 1923, and afterward by other Nazi officials.

The base of the tray bears the underglaze mark of manufacturer Bauscher Weiden, with a second mark identifying the decorator as the Albert & Lindner firm of Munich.

Some loss and wear to the decoration blue lines round the edge, and the glaze on the divider tops is worn away, otherwise very good considering age, no big chips or cracks.
