The 1999 version is the only year these Stanley Cups came with serial numbers under the team logo. They are super hard to find and super rare to find them still sealed in their original bags.

A little history about the 1999 cups:

1999 was the first year of the Labatt's Mini Stanley Cup promotion.

With the purchase of a case of Labatt's Blue beer, you would receive a random cup within the case(1 of 27 different teams)

In 1999 the promotion was only available in Ontario Canada, NOT all of Canada. The promotion was so successful that cases sold out within days. Labatt's introduced the same promotion for ALL of Canada in 2001 and 2002, but without serial numbers.

The production of each cup(except the Canadian teams) depended on their odds of winning the cup that year, meaning the teams that had the lowest odds of winning the cup had less cups produced, making them short printed.

Rumor has it that the serial numbers on the cups were meant for some kind of lottery which never happened. If you possessed the cup of the team that won the Stanley Cup that year, you would win a prize that matched the serial number.
