Tagua jewelry is a vegan  product. It is made from the seeds of Tagua palm trees which grow in Ecuador's Amazon rainforest.

Every 7 years a female tagua tree produces big pods in which the seeds are contained. These seeds are dried during 3 weeks, after that the heavy husk covering the nuts is removed, the nuts are sliced into different shapes, dyed with organic vegetable dyes, holes are drilled into each piece, then new tagua chips are buffed during 12-14 hours to make them shiny and smooth.

Tagua nuts are hard, dense and durable, they do not scratch and are lightweight. This jewelry is an organic, "green" product.  Natural tagua is creme/ ivory colored. The bright colors of red, yellow, turquoise, orange ,blue, green, purple etc. come from organic tints imported from Italy. Each tagua necklace has outstanding esthetic quality and feels really nice and smooth on the skin.

Stretchy cord is made with artisanal cotton thread immersed in bee wax, making it very durable- it will not think out or wear out from use.  The extra length of the thread  helps you wear  the necklace short or longer.
