10 Extinct cave roaches (Simandoa conserfariam) - live pet insect

"Extinct" roaches are not technically extinct, but they only exist in captivity due to the destruction of their native cave in Guinea.  Nymphs start out plain black but develop yellow stripes as they grow.  Adults have beautiful speckled grey wings in addition to yellow stripes on the abdomen.  This roach can't fly but the species runs quickly and can climb smooth surfaces.  A vaseline barrier at the top of your enclosure is a must! This species appreciates a variety of fruits and vegetables such as carrots, potatoes, apples, or oranges.

  • Species name: Simandoa conserfariam
  • Size: Small nymphs (about 1/4")
  • Amount: 10
  • Can climb smooth surfaces? Yes
  • Can fly? No
