This is the most common fault with Generation 4 Haldex vehicles:- The filter which "does not exist" according to VW/Audi gets clogged up as it is never changed on services, it does not exist on their parts system, and on their diagrams is listed as "fitted for life, non service item". We stock and sell them as supplied direct from the manufacturer.
Common Trouble Codes:-
01155 – Clutch – 003 – Mechanical Failure – Intermittent
02248 – Valve for Controlling Clutch Operating Angle (N373) – 014 Defective – Intermittent
The filter clogs up, and it burns the pump out - sometimes they still sort of work if you power them up, but it the pump does not measure within 6.5 to 8 ohms then it has failed, you need a new pump. To check compatibility, read the number from the side of the Haldex ECU case of the rear diff/coupling, it is a white label marked "Continental" or "Siemens", and will have one of the following part numbers, if the last letter does not match do not worry, it is the first 3 digits that show it is compatible.
