HUM 195 – Barnyard Hero - TMK-2 (R) +1 Crown after Hummel Signature

Height – 5.875"

This hummel was originally modeled by Master Sculptor Reinhold Unger in 1948. It was produced in one size only with the incised number 195. A smaller size was issued in the mid 1950s with the incised number 195 2/0. At the same time, the large size was changed to 195/1. Both sizes were restyled in recent years. Many size variations as well as variation in position of boy's hands in small size only. The older figurines have the boy's hands positioned on each side of fence, different than the newer ones with the hands one over the other. Most models have an incised 1948 copyright date, however the hummel in this listing is an early solid numbered version that pre-dates the incised date. The number of the hummel in this listing is 195! Not 195 2/0! Not 195/1! Number 195 was only produced with a Crown and/or Full Bee Marking! No other size/number came with a crown marking, Only 195! See below for the unusual rare variations on this hummel:

• Has Large "🐝" Full Bee Marking (TMK-2) with "(R)" stamped in Blue on underside of base.

• Has "👑" Crown Marking "©️ WG" incised next to Hummel Signature on the side of base.

• Transitional Piece. Circa 1950. "Transitional" – This word is used to describe the inclusion of two different trademarks on the same item indicating a period of time when the Hummel piece was created and a different trademark period when the piece was painted. The most common occurrence of this is a combination of the Crown TMK-1 and Full Bee TMK-2 trademarks as shown here.

• Stamped "©️ W. Goebel" in blue on underside of base.

• Stamped "Germany" in black on underside of base.

• Rare Hummel Number "195" incised on underside of base. Solid Number 195 was the only number produced with Crown Marking. All other numbers came with Full Bee or later trademark. Incised "30" Factory Control Number  on underside of base too.

• "O" on underside of base, presumably by Master Painter Gernot Bub, per the Master Painter List displayed on mihummel.org website.

• Colors are Vibrant and retain gloss, looking much newer than being roughly 75 years old!

• Hummel is 5.875" tall, which is almost the largest size produced for this hummel. The height range for this number is 5.75"-6", other numbers range up to 5.5". See my other listing for same hummel at 6" tall.

• Closed Edition.

• Hummel is in Excellent condition for it's age! No Chips! No Touch Ups! No Repairs! No Crazing!  There is a tiny paint flake on the boy's right arm. It is Not a chip, just a small flake, difficult to notice. It may have some dust from sitting in the China Cabinet for several decades. I certainly did not want to damage it inadvertently by cleaning it.
