This is a luxurious & tough American Ghurka bag in Vintage Twill and chestnut Vintage Leather 38, tanned in an organic "tea" of mimosa and Quebracho tree barks, a fantastic choice for making any long-lasting luxury bag! The Leather 38 is one of the best leather Ghurka has ever made; the tanning is a well-kept secret process. This Ghurka duffel bag was perhaps one of the last Cavalier bags made in the USA before the production moved overseas.
The "Fold-end" design opens to allow extra room and ease in packing. It ends securely with brass shackles; includes a Ghurka detachable, adjustable leather shoulder strap. The shoulder strap has a leather shoulder pad and is adjustable. The duffel is lined in signature check canvas fabric; the duffel meets most airline industry standards as a carry-on.
Sturdy, handsome, and roomy best describe the Cavalier II. The ends are secured with brass shackle hooks. It makes a great overnight - weekend bag and carry-on. 22" long (fastened)."

The bag was only used a few times, if any, and is in mint condition. It does not have any issues or flaws. The zippers are perfect & smooth. We rated the inside of the bag ten and the outside 9.5, and overall we rated this bag 9.7 out of a perfect 10!
This style in vintage twill from the older days does not show up online in this superb condition often, so this is the chance to make it yours!

Founded in Connecticut in 1975 by luxury belt and brace designer Marley Hodgson, Ghurka has served as a symbol of superior American leather craftsmanship for over thirty years.
The origins of the Ghurka brand can be traced back to a fortuitous discovery at a British auction house in the early 1970s. Inspired by his love of history and leather craft, Hodgson bid on campaign travel gear and leather boots formerly owned by a British Ghurka officer stationed in India at the turn of the 20th century. He was so impressed by the quality of the nearly century-old leather – durable yet supple despite its age – and by the intricate craftsmanship that he was compelled to launch a line of comparable leather accessories. Hodgson tracked down the lost tanning formula for these boots and other accouterments carried by the legendary Ghurka regiments and applied the manufacturing process to his new collection ".
