G'day guys

Here we have a professionally restored generator (aka dynamo) from an MG TD.  All LUCAS stuff is date stamped, and this one is dated July 1951 which means it's for  TD, but will also fit and work perfectly on an early Sprite.

It has a machined, polished and checked armature, and has been rebuilt with new front bearing, rear bush and new brushes.  The field windings are either near new or have recently been re-taped.The body and rear end plate have been bead blasted and painted in three coats of White Knight Rust Guard Epoxy gloss black.  The front plate has two coats of White Knight Clear Epoxy.  It runs perfectly and silently.

It's not easy to read what's stamped into the case, so here it is.

Yes, it's expensive.  I guess you could buy an undated Chinese reproduction for the same price, but then you would have to get it repaired within 6 months like everyone else who buys junk has to do!

Please look at the photos as they form part of the description.  What you see is what you get.
