The watch chain comes from what was left of a former jewelery company in Idar-Oberstein. I still have many other watch chains of this type and similar ones. The chains are not real gold or real silver chains, if they are only gold-plated or silver-plated or nickel or chrome . Since these necklaces were probably made during or after the war years, and gold and silver were very valuable at the time, this jewelry was mostly made of other materials. I don't know the exact age myself, probably from the last production times of the jewelry company!
