About Artist :

Feng Chaoran (1882-1954) was famous for his title of "DIGE" and "Shende" later. Born in Songjiang, Changzhou, Jiangsu Province. After the revolution of 1911 in Shanghai, he lived in Songshan road and sold paintings for a living. He was not a hermit in Songshan Mountain, but a cottage in Songshan mountain. They were Tang Yin and Qiu Ying. Characters, landscapes and flowers are long. In his later years, he specially painted landscapes, which has the elegance of Wen Zhengming. His masterpieces include the picture of ladies holding peaches and the picture of winter. Published "Feng Chaoran Linyan Xiangfu landscape book", "Feng DIGE painting collection" and so on.
