A fabulous vintage dress from the 1950s! Soft cotton or cotton blend with slight sheen and an all over print of pink and chartreuse yellow roses on green stems. Dress has black flocking in a trellis or chain link pattern. Deep v neck front and back with short cap sleeves with gussets and gathering under bust and at each hip. Skirt is just shy of a full circle. Metal back zip, labelled Claudia Young (one of my favorites!)

Dress is in good condition, faint seam stress underarms. Sleeve ends and hem have plastic horsehair that is a touch wonky in places though it doesn’t affect the look or wear. Horsehair at hem is exposed, though I don’t see where it was ever attached on two edges, so maybe it just needs pressed up.

Minor cracking on some of the flocking at right waist. Dress had gotten wet while stored and a little fake flower with black bow bled onto the dress at left waist, just above hip. I removed the the flowers (will include them, not sure if they’re original) and cleaned the dress. I was able to get rid of most of the color bleed, but there is a slight discoloration there to the cotton and flocking, not noticeable, and a small pulled area where it was sewn on. A few popped stitches at underbust. The faintest tinge of underarm discoloration, and some very very very faint yellow area on back of bodice, truly almost invisible. I think I can only see it because they were more noticeable before cleaning.
