The working principle:
If a container or pipe is filled with gas, when its internal pressure is stronger than the external pressure, due to the large internal and external pressure difference, once the container has a leak, gas will be flushed out of the leak hole. When the size of the leak hole is small and the Reynolds number is high, the turbulence will be formed when the gas blows out. The turbulence will produce a certain frequency of sound waves near the leak hole. The frequency of the acoustic wave vibration is related to the size of the leak hole. Audible sounds can be heard. When the leak is small and the sound wave frequency is high, the human ear cannot hear it, but they can spread in the air and are called no-load ultrasonic waves. Ultrasound is a high-frequency short-wave signal, and its intensity rapidly decays as the propagation distance increases. Ultrasonic waves have directionality. With this feature, the correct leak location can be determined.
Way of working:
The EM282-R can work with dynamic and main dynamics. When real-time inspection of the gas pipeline, it can be used alone, use it to capture the tiny ultrasonic signals generated when the gas leak, you can determine the correct location of the leak. This way of working is called dynamic.
When the EM282-R and EM282-T are used together, non-real-time inspection can be performed on the object to be inspected. That is, an ultrasonic signal of a certain frequency is emitted by the EM282-T. Once a leak occurs, the ultrasonic leaks from the leak hole and the leak is captured by the EM282-R. The ultrasonic information can be used to determine the correct leak location. This way of working is called main dynamics. Compared with the dynamic working mode, the main dynamic working mode is not suitable for real-time inspection, but has higher reliability.
