A settee and chair from the Aesthetic / Victorian period, the 1880s. These unusual pieces descended through one family, the O'Connells. 

They were purchased together in San Francisco in 1887 by Daniel and Clarice OConnell.
Bequeathed to James Lloyd OConnell Senior (VP Blake, Moffitt and Towne, SF, CA) and Lillian Libby O'Connell (Decorator)

Bequeathed to James Lloyd OConnell Jr. (Administrator Encinitas School District, President Encinitas Historical Society) & Geraldine Williams O'Connell of San Diego, Los Angeles.

Bequeathed to James Lloyd OConnell III (VP & CFO Mission Gallery Corporation)
