DESCRIPTION

The eleventh revised and augmented edition of Baedekers guide to The Eastern Alps. Includes travel suggestions for the Bavarian Highlands, Tyrol, Salzburg, Upper and Lower Austria, Styria, Carinthia, and Carniola.

With 61 maps, and 8 folding panoramas, collated and complete.

Established in 1827, the German publishing house were pioneers of worldwide travel handbooks. By drawing on specialist knowledge, their guides provide brief historical and cultural introductions, alongside detailed information about travel routes, the available facilities, and descriptions of attractions and noteworthy buildings. Baedeker was bought by MairDumont in 1997.

CONDITION

In the publisher's original red cloth binding. Externally, rather smart. Lightly rubbed to the boards, a little more so to the spine, with some marginal wear to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound with lightly age-toned pages.
