Antique Beehive Decanter

Circa 1900

Lovely example of a small commercial beehive decanter, dating from the turn of the century. This particular example is hand blown with five rings ( five servings) and  original air bobble stopper.

Commonly know as beehive decante but the technical name is "Topettes" This types of decanter were used as a vessel to serve spirits in a bar. The waiter would serve the customer a full decanter of spirit. Then the customer would be charged according to how many units ( rings ) ware drank.

Decanter is approx: 17.5cm in height including stopper. Base is approx: 6.5cm in diameter.

In very good condition with light scratches, wear and some stains to the inside of the decanter.
