Octavo. xxxii, 306 pp. In 19th century quarter leather. Spine leather perished and respined with brown cloth; boards are rubbed, particularly the corners; ex-library with bookplate on the front pastedown; three-digit number in ink on the lower margin of the dedication page; no other library markings. Hesychius is remembered for his highly important lexicon of obscure and unusual Greek words. He flourished in the 5th century and his "Glossae Sacrae" (focussing on words relating to religion) are almost certianly later interpolations.
