Belle Époque Desk Set

Beautiful French late 19th C. inkwell.

This truly stunning desk set is made from  Gutta-percha, in amazing detailed design.

Inkwell stand with beautifully molded motifs and shell shaped pen tray, original cut glass inkwell’s with ebony wood lids.

Gutta-percha is dark rubbery, organic substance derived from tropical trees.

Approx: Length 23cm, depth 90cm, height 10cm including glass inkwell’s

In good condition with no damage to the base, two glass inkwell’s show wear to silver plate and two wooden finials slightly loose on the lid due to shrinkage of the wood. No cracks or major chips to glass.
