NEW OEM Seagate IronWolf Pro NAS Helium Desktop 3.5" ST18000NE000 18000 GB/ 18Tb, SATA, 256Mb Cache Hard drive

5 YEAR WARRANTY - 3 YEAR DATA RESCUE INCLUDED!

UK BASED SELLER - UK SHIPPED ITEM!

Hard drives are composed of multiple spinning glass discs with a ferrous coating. The heads which reads the data hover about 3 nanometres above the surface of the disc which spins at a ferocious 5400rpm. To put this in perspective, the hair on your head is 65000 nanometres thick!

It is why we use custom designed packaging to ensure that the drive is undamaged to you and why we would never recommend buying hard drives from abroad on eBay. For long life, it is vital that you reduce the inevitable jostling in mail centres. If the hard drive develops a fault, how will you get a replacement? Wait another 4 weeks and pay £40 to send it back?

Once you add the cost of the inevitable import tax & other charges which is typically £30 on a £120 hard drive, what are you saving?

We’ve Got Your Back

Peace of mind for when the unthinkable happens.

Data recovery can be costly. That’s why most Seagate® drives now include Rescue Data Recovery Services. Defend your data — and your budget — against unexpected data loss for any mechanical, accidental or natural disaster.

With Rescue Data Recovery Services, you get:

Data Recovery Process.

Initiating your claim is easy. Contact us through eBay with the details of your data loss. After that, we’ll send you a prepaid shipping label, so you can send your damaged drive to the lab.

The estimated turn-around time is typically 30 business days from the time your media is received at our lab. The actual turn-around time may vary due to severity of the damage, local regulations, parts backlogs, shipping delays, etc. If the recovery attempt is successful, you’ll receive your recovered data on an encrypted storage device. Otherwise, your damaged drive will be returned to you in the mail.

Here is how our Services work:

1.   Submit Your Device for Evaluation

Evaluation and Effort:   You may submit your data storage device or media to us, and we will use reasonable efforts to determine whether any data on your data storage device or media is recoverable using our existing technology and processes (which has limitations - not all lost data can be recovered).

2.  Cost Estimate:   By answering a few questions about your data storage device, we will provide you with a cost estimate for the actual recovery work and Services.

3.  Authorization of Recovery: If you accept the cost estimate, submit your data storage device or media to us along with your credit card information (or other payment method approved by us), and we will apply our existing technology and standard processes and use reasonable efforts to recover your data. By submitting your device and payment information, you agree to pay the fee quoted and authorize us to charge your credit card for such amount if we are able to successfully recover the data. In addition, you understand and agree that your device or media may be sent to any one of our recovery labs around the world in our sole discretion. When applicable, you will be the importer of record and will be solely responsible for import fees, taxes and other associated costs.

4.   Successful Recovery Effort: If we are able to successfully recover data, we will notify you using the contact information you have provided to us and charge you. We will not release your data to you until you have paid for the Services and related costs (including, without limitation, applicable service fees, material costs, new media costs, and shipping costs).

5.  Recovered Data: We will return your data to you on an external drive or media.

6.  Unsuccessful Recovery Effort: If we are unable to recover any data, we will inform you accordingly and not charge you for the Services.

7.   Return of Original Media: Regardless of the outcome of the recovery work, if you want your original data storage device returned we will do so upon request.

8.   Disposal of Abandoned Device, Media or Data after 60 Days: Any device, media, or data left with us without full payment after 60 days from the date of our receipt will be disposed of in our discretion; and you release Us from any obligation of confidentiality related to the device, media, and data.

Service Limitations:

We cannot and do not promise any particular results. We will provide reasonable efforts and the application of our existing technology and standard processes. We do not guarantee that any data will be recovered. Also, our attempt to recover the data may result in damage to the device, media, or data, and may even render any data unrecoverable. To the extent possible, you should attempt to back up any available data before submitting it to us.

Limitation of Liability:

We will not be liable for any harm caused, unless you prove that we caused damages intentionally. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, we will not be liable for the condition, existence, or loss of the data you send us or the data we recover; any loss of revenue, loss of profits, or any indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages however caused. to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, this disclaimer shall apply to any and all damages, regardless on the legal theory on which they are asserted (including, without limitation, contract, breach of contract, and tort), and regardless of whether we have been advised of the possibility of loss or damages - unless you prove that We caused damages to you intentionally.

Liability Cap:

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the amount of our liability will not exceed the total price you actually pay us for the Services. The essential purpose of this limitation is to limit our liability for performing the Services; this allocation of risk is reflected in our prices. This paragraph will apply notwithstanding any other provisions in this agreement, or the failure of any remedy.

Warranty Terms and Conditions:

What Does This Limited Warranty Cover?

This limited warranty covers any defects in material or workmanship in the new Product accompanied by this limited warranty statement.

How Long does the Coverage Last?

The warranty period for your Product is the length of time indicated as part of the listing.

What Does This Limited Warranty Not Cover?

This limited warranty does not cover any problem that is caused by (a) commercial use, accident, abuse, or neglect; (b) use contrary to the instructions, user manual, or specifications, (including shock, electrostatic discharge, degaussing, heat or humidity, or use beyond data read-write limits); (c) improper installation, operation, maintenance or modification; (d) lost passwords; or (e) malfunctions caused by other equipment. This limited warranty is void if a Product is returned with removed, damaged or tampered labels or any alterations (including the unauthorised removal of any component or external cover). This limited warranty does not cover data loss – back up the contents of your Product to a separate storage medium on a regular basis. Also, consequential damages; incidental damages; and costs related to data recovery, removal, and installation are not recoverable under this warranty. This limited warranty applies only to hardware Products; software, media, and manuals are licensed (and warranted where applicable) pursuant to separate written agreement.

What Do You Have To Do?

We will not provide any warranty coverage unless your claim is in compliance with all terms of this limited warranty statement and you follow proper return procedure. To request warranty service please contact us through eBay. Once we, or one of our authorised service centres determines that a replacement is required, you will be prompted for your name, address, phone number, e-mail and Product serial number and then issued a Return Order Number to use when returning Product. Product you return to us must be properly packaged in its original packaging (or packaging providing the Product with protection equivalent to the original packaging) and shipped, with the shipping charges prepaid via a shipping method that provides for tracking of your package, to the address provided when you received your Return Order Number. In addition to regular back-ups, if possible, back-up your data before returning a Product, because the Product you send to us or to an authorised service provider will not be returned to you.

What Will We Do?

If we authorise you to return your Product to us or an authorised service provider, we will replace your Product without charge with a functionally equivalent replacement Product. We may replace your Product with a Product that was previously used, re-certified and tested to meet Manufacturer specifications. We will pay to ship the replacement Product to you. By sending Product for replacement, you agree to transfer ownership of the original Product to us. We will not return your original Product to you. Data recovery, advance replacement option, or other warranty-related offerings or service plans are not covered under this limited warranty and are not part of the covered replacement process. If you would like data recovery performed on your drive, it is available from us as a separate service for an additional charge. We warrant that replaced Products are covered for the greater of either the remainder of the original Product warranty or 90 days.
