Good accuracy and extensive detail of the complex river systems of Siberia The outline of Kamchatka had been recently established by the First Kamchatka expedition of 1725-1729., The map includes a partial voyage track for the 1648 voyage of Semen Dezhnev, who led the first voyage around Eurasia through what later became known as the Bering Strait. There is also a track for the route between Okhotsk and Kamchatka, sailed by Bering in 1740. From Abbé Prevost's 'Histoire Generale des Voyages'
