A lovely antique / vintage French bolster pillow cover! This pillowcase is made of a lovely ticking fabric and dates to circa 1850! ~ Wonderfully aged French fabric ~ ! FABULOUS dark blue stripes, wonderful off-white aged and BEAUTIFUL ground ~ Wonderfully rustic fabric! This ticking was once a bolster pillow that was opened up along one short end and has had the feathers removed. There are some age marks that show up very palely on the ground, some uneven fading ~etc. Generally a lovely sturdy material that shows it's age in all the best ways! Ideal for primitive and rustic cutting projects, or for use as intended. ~*~ ~*~ Durable and beautiful ~*~ Ideal for pillows, upholstery projects etc! This piece is a heavy weight cotton, with gentle twill weave and wonderful faded indigo blue. A classic French fabric ~ . This fabric is as genuine as they get, with a beautiful aged tone. ~*~ The name "denim" derives from the French "de Nîmes", Nîmes is an area of France once also known for producing these wonderful heavy ticking fabrics! Measurements : This fabric measures approximately 22 inches wide by 53 inches long, but of course this pillow sack could be opened out and would be approximately twice this size in one dimension.

CONDITION: This fabric is in as found, unwashed condition. ~ There are MANY little feathers or lint from the original down still remaining on and in this textile. There are a few small pale marks on the ground on each side, and also some tiny worn spots or holes. One end has been opened out. Very sturdy, lovely aged condition! ~ Condition reflected in the price.
