This micro-cooler works well and cools down to 2C when filled with water. The set temperature was 4C and you could see it cools to 4C. The Cooling indicator is green when cooling, it is off once the temperature is reached. A digital thermo-probe (not included in this listing) is inserted to show the temperature as well.
One can set any temperature between room temperature and 2C if water is used. You can used it as a dry bath too.
It comes with a mini rack for 1.5 ml microtubes. It can accommodate 10ml, 50 ml tubes and 125 ml bottles.
It could be a versatile mini dry or water-bath for long time reactions (such as ligation, enzymatic digestion, etc) in small tubes. Our lab just does not have the need for it anymore.
