Citrus macroptera is a semi-wild species of citrus native to the Sylhet region (South Asia), Malaysia and Melanesia. It is also known as shatkora, hatkhora, cabuyao, Melanesian papeda or wild orange. It has a very bitter and sour juice and a thick fleshy skin that is eaten as a vegetable or pickled. It is cultivated on a small scale in home gardens in parts of India and Bangladesh.
