It is Sponge ware, speckled, spatter ware.
This piece holds approximately 7 cups of liquid to give you an idea of the size. 
This very attractive piece is in very good condition.
Is marked on the bottom with a raised Maple Leaf with a "W" inside of the leaf.
I see no breaks, no chips, no cracks, no repairs or crazing, no stains, no odors.  
All of these stoneware batter bowls are individually hand thrown and unique in size and shape. 
Therefore, the handmade batter bowls you order may not be exactly like the one you have, or replacing.
