You don't have to be western shooting sports aficionado... buckaroo cowboy... diehard hippie... or hard-riding biker to sport these stand-out genuine vintage 1960's that belonged to my buddy's late dad (b: 1936) who was: "e) all of the above."
But it helps if you appreciate bootmaking elevated to the art form found in these brilliant all-leather gems featuring...
- 10 brass-riveted lace points running up the outside
- Tassel-tipped dangling leather laces coming to life
- Classic stovetop shafts
- Traditional square toe styling
- Stout double-leather soles
- Genuine leather stacked heels
- Super-straight original "O'Sullian" rubber heel lifts
- Steel shank arch support
All this in a rock-solid all-leather boot with a spotless/wear-free full leather (shaft and foot) lining... miles and miles to go on the original leather soles... and "bulletproof" Goodyear welt construction.
We gave them a double-drubbing with saddle soap and leather conditioner... also treated the lush saddle leather uppers to two coats of mid-tan polish (with an eye toward preserving that rich time-earned patina) and buffed them to smithereens with a professional-grade horsehair brush.
Also made minor repairs hand-stitching a few of the hefty 1/4-inch-wide laces in place (notice one is missing) and reattaching one of the not-to-be-used boot pulls. Truly amazing these 50-year-old beauties survived with only a few minor bumps and bruises as capturing in our close-up pics.
We can't guarantee fit or your satisfaction with our repairs or the exact tawny brown hue. So see all pics and check these careful measurements. This is a final sale.
