Huawei Honor 6 Plus

The phone was absolutely brilliant over the years I've used it.  The battery life was amazing for the era, the photos can be taken in "depth mode" which uses two lenses to create a either a 3D photo when you tilt the phone, or allowing you to refocus the photo to a different location after the shot.

Photos in "super night" mode totally blew me away - if you can balance the phone somewhere (possible without the case if you're very careful as it has flat sides) it can do night mode shots, which are about 30 seconds of exposure.  I've included an example - it may have been one of the best photos I've ever taken in my life!  (you can even capture stars if you leave the phone still enough).

It has an infra red sender, although I never tested this.

The screen is also 5.5 inches, which was way ahead of the era, and is quite a good aspect ratio meaning it's quite wide as well as tall.  At normal viewing distance it was the same size as my 50 inch TV, again amazing for the era.

Cleverly it's also octa core made from two quad cores.  Almost unheard of when it came out, but meant for basic operations would use the slower quad core chip to conserve power, then could ramp up to use the other faster one when more power was required.  This meant when I first started using it I originally used to get 2+ days use when my previous Samsung S3 would barely last the day.
