Duncan Taylor Scotch Whisky Limited is proud to present The Coronation Edition, an exceptional trilogy of aged Laphroaig whiskies, each expression finished in sherry casks in celebration of King Charles III. Laphroaig is of particular significance for His Majesty having been awarded a Royal Warrant; the only single malt distillery to have received this honour. Limited to 150 sequentially numbered sets, this special release will surely be a jewel in the crown of any whisky collection.
FROM III AGES
The casks of Laphroaig making up these exceptional expressions were hand selected by Euan C. Shand, Chairman of Duncan Taylor Scotch Whisky Limited, who dutifully finished each age in Duncan Taylor’s unique sherry Octave casks. The result are three expressions of exceptional character and colour from the award-winning whisky specialist.
Each sequentially numbered expression is presented in a clear case, illuminated by remote and gold mirror accents, adding a distinguished allure to the spirits within. A certificate of authenticity, pair of handling gloves and charging adapter ensures a lasting brilliance.
TASTING NOTES:
Aged 18 Years: Restrained smoke gives way to gentle notes of baked green fruits. A subtle sherried texture lingers on the palate.
Aged 23 Years: Eloquent notes of chocolate dipped fruits mingle with hints of smoked salty almonds. Ripe cherries round off an earthy dram.
Aged 26 Years: Intriguing nuance of ginger is accented by charred sherry oak and spice. A dash of maritime air compliments a subtle smokiness, softened by long ageing.
