A Chinese cast bronze figure
(Hollow cast, probably with core à cire perdue. Dark bronze or "smoke patina")
of an enthroned Bodhisattva. Most likely Guanyin,
seated in dhyanasana in bodhisattva attire and adornments
on a lotus cushion and holding attributes,
a four- legged, box- like and woody support beneath,
The principal figure flanked by the smaller acolytes Shancai and Longnü
on reduced lotus blossoms.
