Since 1971, the Sport-301 portable radio receiver has been producing the Dnepropetrovsk Radio Plant. The radio receiver was created on the basis of the ''Sport-2'' model and, according to the electrical circuit, design and characteristics, practically coincides with it. The exception is the presence of a telescopic antenna for reception in the SW subbands, in the ''Sport-2'' receiver a magnetic antenna was used for this. The ratings of some elements were adjusted, a new loudspeaker was installed. The main difference between the new model and the base one is a different design and a telescopic antenna.
Since 1966, the Sport-2 portable radio receiver has been produced by the Dnepropetrovsk Radio Plant. The transistor receiver of the 3rd class ''Sport-2'' is designed to receive radio stations in the ranges: long waves 2000 ... 735 m (150 ... 408 KHz), medium waves 570 ... 186 m (525 ... 1605 KHz ) and two subbands of short waves, SW-II - 75 ... 41 m (3.93 ... 7.4 MHz) and SW-I - 31 ... 25 m (9.4 ... 12 MHz) waves . The real sensitivity of the radio receiver at long waves is 1.6 mV / m, medium 0.6 mV / m, short 0.3 mV / m. Adjacent channel selectivity 60 dB. The attenuation of the mirror channel on the LW - 30 dB, MW - 32 dB, SW-II - 20 dB, SW-I - 16 dB. AGC provides a 3.5 dB change in detector voltage for a 26 dB change in input voltage. The band of audio frequencies reproduced by the loudspeaker according to the documentation is 300 ... 3500 Hz, the real one is 250 ... 4000 Hz. Rated output power 100 mW. Power is supplied from four elements of type 316. The current consumed in rest mode is about 10 mA. The dimensions of the receiver are 195x110x47 mm. Weight 910 gr. The receiver was produced in several design options for the case and front panel, including export versions. Export names of the radio ''Sport'', ''Astrad-Nova''
