Really pretty document box. It is paper lined and has a metal band that is attached to the lid. Brass tacks (one appears missing) were used on the top and sides of its construction. It has no musty or unusual smell. It has a very nice aged patina. The box is sturdy and the lid functions well. There is no key for the lock. The metal band is crinkled on the right side of the lid. Other than that it is beautiful but make sure to review the high definition pictures for more condition detail. Measurements are 5 1/4 inches tall by 11 1/4 inches wide by 6 1/4 inches deep.
