This card has been designed to be A6 which is perfect for pockets / to be put in the back of pocket notebooks. One side has the Major Incident Triage Tool (MITT) algorithm that can be followed, and other side has tally boxes for the user to mark off how many casualties of each priority they have. There is also a prompt to utilise METHANE messaging which brings structure and clarity to the initial stages of managing any multi-agency or major incident.

This is a handy card for all emergency services personnel and those in the private sector such as private medical providers and security guards who may be first on scene at a major incident where the MITT is required.

This is pocket card has been designed by NHS England and has been made into a pocket card for easy access and quick reference when users find themselves having to utilise the MITT tool. The quick reference pocket card in conjunction with the simplicity of the tool minimises cognitive burden and frees up bandwidth to assist responders to treat casualties in what will be very challenging circumstances.
