This is a complete ALS No. 25 Tannoy Loudspeaker. It was still drilled down when originally purchased and has been opened for testing and photography.

It still works with either 9v batteries or the two included holders for 4 AA batteries (8 total). It functions correctly but the connection between the mic and loud speaker is a bit finicky so you might need to wiggle the cables around a bit to get a good contact. If you have knowledge of cleaning audio jacks, you might be able to improve the connection. Either way, when connected properly, it sounds loud and clear. Just be warned, it is very loud!

Comes with all of the original plastic wrap, most bags labelled, and with the greaseproof paper and any other protective packaging still in the box. I have done my best to return it to its unopened state for you.

It has a set of instructions printed on a metal sheet in the lid but you'll have to use some force to pull this out.

It comes with a clip used to attach the microphone to the S6 NBC Respirator if you have one of those. Basically just stretch the clip over the front/outlet of the mask and screw tight but the instruction sheet should probably show this.

The box has paint chipping as you'd expect but still robust as ever with good strong webbing holding it in place.

The only major damage on this item is the rubber casing which the battery packs sit inside. One of them has a tear but still works.

Keep in mind, this is an old item so continued service life may require some servicing.
