The rarely seen 2000 Magnum Photos 1st trade edition hardcover, beautifully signed by the renowned photographer, Paul Fusco (1930-2020), a very nice copy of his first and most famous book.

Paul Fusco's brilliant first book which features his powerful color photographs taken from a train ride between New York to Washington, DC as Robert Kennedy's body was transported to be buried in Arlington Cemetery. This edition was issued to commemorate the 75th Birthday of RFK and it features Tribute by Senator Edward M. Kennedy and essays by Norman Mailer and Evan Thomas. Illustrated with color photographs, all taken from the train as it slowly travelled from New York to Washington DC. 

"Three days after the assassination, a funeral train carried RFK's coffin from New York to its final resting place at Arlington National Cemetery. Hundreds of thousands of people stood patiently in the searing heat as the train traveled slowly en route to Washington, DC. Paul Fusco, then a staff photographer for LOOK magazine, accompanied the train on its journey.” 

First trade edition. Oblong hardcover. Preceded by a small limited edition that was self-published.
