Auto ignition timing adjustment method.
1.No Timing Light Adjustment Method:
(1)Firstly, adjust the distributor contact gap to be suitable as required.
(2)Find the first cylinder compression upper stop position. Remove the high voltage distributor wire of the first cylinder. Remove the first cylinder spark plug with spark plug sleeve, block the spark plug hole with thumb or cloth ball, then crank the engine crankshaft. When you feel resistance in the cylinder, slowly crank the crankshaft, while observing, so that the timing marks are right.
(3)Adjust the minute power large to the moment of contact closure. When the above parts have met the requirements, turn on the ignition switch, loosen the distributor housing fixing screw, turn the distributor housing to make the disconnector contacts close. Then turn the distributor again in the reverse direction to the distributor contacts just open, this moment can be seen between the contacts to produce a small electric spark, then tighten the distributor housing fixing screw, and adjust the octane value to the scale to zero position; at this time, the direction pointed by the distributor head is the position of a cylinder.
(4)Insert the high-voltage distributor wire on the distributor cover in the ignition order and tighten the screw by hand to temporarily fix the distributor.
(5)Start the engine to test the ignition timing, if the engine ignition system and fuel supply system is well adjusted, the engine exhaust pipe should drip, the engine vibration is minimal and noise is reduced to a minimum.

2.Timing Light Adjustment Method:
(1)Start the engine to warm up to normal working temperature.
(2)The ignition timing light 2 collets are connected to the battery positive (red), negative pile head (black), the sensor clip in the first cylinder on the high voltage wire.
(3)Adjust the engine speed to normal idle state, use the ignition timing light to shine on the timing pulley, check whether the mark on the pulley is the manufacturer's specified angle (generally 6~10).
(4)If adjustment is needed, loosen the distributor screw, use the ignition timing to align the timing pulley and then turn the distributor (left and right) until the scale mark is at the specified value, and finally lock the distributor screw.

Attention: The power supply is 12V with red connecting to positive and black to negative. Don't get it wrong. The high voltage wire induction clamp is clamped on the high voltage line of cylinder with the arrow on the induction clamp pointing to the direction of the spark plug for normal working.
