Australia Post began identifying reprints with symbols in both side selvedges adjacent to the stamps

The symbols were one "Koala" for the first reprint up to four "Koalas"for the fourth reprint

 The fifth reprint was marked by a "Kangaroo"and the sixth with one "Kangaroo"& one "Koala" etc
