Unworn mint A. Lange & Söhne Glashütte i/SA, 1928 gold Glashütte Savonette 14k gold, pocket watch certificate & leather case.

First class 14k gold Savonette pocket watch from the watch manufactory A. Lange & Söhne/ Glashütte I/Saxony.

Very rare and very lavishly crafted, multi-colored 14k gold and platinum plated savonette case in the "Imperial" shape in flat design with hand engraved rim and bail. German gold marks and Lange und Söhne hallmarks in all lids. Both case and movement are in very good, mint and unworn condition.

Beautiful radiating guilloché (and therefore iridescent) silvered gold dial with small off-center seconds as well as applied gold Arabic numerals. The dial is signed. Original perforated hands, also gold. The dial and hands are in excellent condition.

Excellent ¾ plate movement, caliber 41/18"`lines, grained, gilt and signed. Quality DUF. Movement with 15 jewels, gold screw compensating balance, recoil spring fine adjustment; gold lever and escape wheel in steel. Blued screws, sunburst ratchet wheels and crown winding. The clean movement runs perfectly.

Diameter 53 mm, weight 95 g. The movement and case number is identical to the 98 577; sold on June 12, 1928 to the company A. Novotny, Prague for 620.00 Swiss francs.

The watch is accompanied by the certificate and leather casket of the German Watch Museum Glashütte. Overall, the watch is in excellent condition.
