Dutch church book, contains the Old and New Testaments,
the psalms and hymns, the verses of which are set in notes.
The book consists of several parts with 2 different publishers
from the years 1780 - 1818.
Finely embossed original leather strap with richly worked
Silver fittings and gilt edges.
Whether it is real silver or silver-plated metal,
I can't say for lack of knowledge.
Unfortunately, there is no clasp to hold it closed, the existing one can
don't snap.
Edged on the top and back cover with thethe same Metal,
everything was probably made by hand and richly decorated.
Engraved title page, as well as a few engravings in the book, whereby the
most loosely enclosed with the book. Are these included with the book?
were or they are dating have broken the bond I don't know.
But I suspect the former, since the writing pages are stuck.
A sheet of handwritten notes comes loose with the book.
Numerous vignettes, min. 2 vignettes are below with one
Original signature provided, which I can not decipher and
also don't know what they mean.

Condition:
Age-related signs of wear and storage, cover rubbed, the leather is in 2 places on the back cover torn and a little scraped, there is also a small tear on the spine of the book. One of 2 bars to close the book is missing, the other cannot be closed because the book is a bit too high. Could it be due to the enclosed pages? The cover on the lid came loose and would have to be reattached. The binding is slightly broken next to the title page, but holds all pages tight. The loosely enclosed engravings have nicks at the edges because they are somewhat larger. gold edge rubbed.
