Midge is a slouch brimmed black hand blocked sinamay hat embellished with a Petite Vintage 1950s/60s Feather Bird. Around the brim of th what is a black ribbon with tiny sequence flowers and seed beads. The brim binding is a 1 ½” of black sinamay. Midge is a flat top hat without a crown so a  round sinamay fascinator hat base has been sewn inside to sit on the head. It is also finished with a 12" elastic cord that is meant to be worn on the back of the head under hair. This hat was made by hand using an  old wood hat block.  I take great pride in keeping this 200+ year old tradition alive, by using old techniques in creating each hat. From creation to finished product all details of this hat are done using the highest quality materials. Every aspect of this hat is hand sewn
