One of the best and most recognizable Caran d'Ache pens, the original Ecridor
Model by Caran d'Ache with Chevron pattern, very delicate, made in a factory by hand,
very crisp complex lines, giving the pen amazing appeal.
Made out of alpaca and silver-plated,
the pen simply shines, its true gloss is difficult to capture in photos.
The Ecridor by CdA is one of the longest produced models in the company's history,
and probably in the pen history; running close to 60 years.
The pens were first made in the early 60's and are still being made to
day, hardly changed with a similar design.
The pen offered here dates from the late 60's to the early 70's.
The pen is with new refill for long writing sessions with no worries.
The pen is retractable and uses a top push-button mechanism that is very smooth,
precise, and convenient to use.
The pen features crisp inscriptions located on the push button and the clip which read
"Swiss Made + Caran d'Ache".
Under the clip,
the pen features an inscription that reads "Clip Acier" which translated in English means that
the clip is made out of steel.
Perfectly balanced writing instrument, heavy and tough, extremely well built,
difficult to damage even if dropped, meant to last for generations.
The substantial weight of the pen contributes for a good balance and feel in the hand.
