The bodies are new old stock, but they were not nationally branded. They came from an old hobby store years ago. Our research points to the 1950s by the look of the wheels that were with the bodies. They may have been a part of the early pinewood derby cars since that's where we saw the wheels. Not much sanding if any is needed. Once finished, these cars are designed to roll. The body is approximately 4" L x 7/8" W (at its widest area) x 1 1/4" H (without wheels). The blank weighs 0.6 ozs. These 2 cars pictured seem to be demonstrators, thus the letters. They are not a part of the listing. Just to show what a finished car might look like. We're assuming the scale is around 1:38. There was no box or instructions. ENJOY!!!!! Check out our other items!
