Established in 1888, Udall and Ballou grew to become one of the best known and most prestigious jewelers in New York during the second quarter of the 20th Century.  Best remembered for their wonderful Art Deco designs, the company started as jewelers and silversmiths selling a range of items from diamond rings and gentlemen’s dress sets to silver candlesticks and tea services.  The shop was located on 5th Avenue and as their success grew, they expanded and opened branches in Palm Beach Florida and Bellevue Avenue in Newport Rhode Island, as well as an office on the rue Lafayette in Paris.

The outer fold up case is Hand Sewn tailored stitched leather that measures 85.40mm or 3.36 inches wide by 100mm or 3.94 inches tall,


The "watch or Clock" portion is high polished solid brass, it features a hinged case back and measures 66.65mm or 2.63 inches in diameter (not counting the stem & crown) 


It is powered by the original Doxa Swiss high grade, 3/4 plate, 15 jewel, fully adjusted, suspended and compensated Bi-Metallic balance assembly, it is a stem-wind, stem set movement,


The original factory single sunk dial is still in mint condition featuring a Gold enameled background with a textured pin-stripe center with bold Art Deco Arabic luminous hour markers and fancy skeleton hands, with black enameled 8 Days, Udall & Ballou, Swiss, Doxa Watch Co. and outer minute track, 


Original mint condition beveled glass crystal, 


This vintage timepiece is approximately 115-120  years old and still looks and runs GREAT!!!
