This listing is for an antique German doll recently purchased from a local estate sale. She was made by Schoenau & Hoffmeister.

She has a socket bisque head with brown glass sleep eyes and and an open mouth with teeth. Her wig is human hair and she has an open dome.
Her body is ball jointed composition and she stands approx. 12" tall.

She is dressed in a four layers of clothing: a lawn christening gown with a matching slip, another slip with a felt skirt and cotton shirt and diaper that are pinned to the body. She also has a lawn cotton and lace bonnet with a silk ribbon tie.

She is marked with a five pointed star with the letters "S" and "H" on either side and "PB" in the center. She is also marked  "1909 5/0 Germany."

Condition: Fair. The paint on her eyelids is deteriorating and there is a problem in the corner of her mouth. See close up photos. Her wig is in very poor condition. There are stains, tears and wear on her clothing. I don't believe the bonnet is original to the doll---it is slightly too big and the lace doesn't match the gown.
