2014 NIUE $1 MAN'S BEST FRIEND - JAVANESE CAT

MAN'S BEST FRIEND SERIES - CATS

NGC PF69 UC - SILVER COIN

INCLUDES NGC GRADED COIN AND COA

Issued by the Pacific island of Niue, the Man’s Best Friends series of silver coins is dedicated to the unbreakable bond between humans and cats. Each coin is a 17,50 g piece of silver .999 in proof quality, embellished with a digitally printed image of one of the most popular cat breeds. The mintage is limited to 1 500 pieces worldwide. Meet a Javanese Cat!

The obverse traditionally features the effigy of Her Majesty Elizabeth II. Among the inscriptions, there are: the Queen’s name, the face value of the coin, its metal fineness, issuing country and year.

The reverse is a lively depiction of a Javanese cat with two Swarovski elements as its eyes. The other cat and some decorative motifs are outlined in the background. Extremely affectionate and intelligent, the Javanese breed was developed from crossing the Siamese with Color point Shorthair and Balinese cats. There’s a reason we call dogs and cats man’s best friends. The world’s most popular pet, cats are known for their affection and endearment combined with chilly independence. Cats and their humans, especially women, form strong social bonds and a mutual understanding based on affection and indulgence. Apart from being a remarkable collector’s item in a specially designed packaging, the coin will make a charming gift for all lovers of Javanese Cats!
