This high quality 550 paracord is made in the U.S.A. from nylon with a diameter of approximately 4mm. 

It contains a core of 7 strands, surrounded by a 32-strand woven sheath for durability.

The nylon yarns used are of premium quality, providing excellent strength with a breaking force of 550 lbs/kilo (249 kg).

The nylon has a density of 1.15 g/cm3. Being nylon, the cord may shrink 5-10% when wet but returns to size when dried. It can also be washed at 30°C.
