ShowJudge, my wife of now 57 years.
We have FOUR boxes of these shot glasses - still in their original packaging!
- We bought them years ago when we were on a trip to Norway (to visit the Norwegian Audit Office on business) and SEE the Kon Tiki for fun..
- We bought the glasses, NOT because the Viking Logo per se, but because the logo looks like the Peace dove and - in those days we were BIG on Christmas!
- From 1984 to 2000 Nancy used to have a two day Christmas party for her GAO Colleagues, and for my House Doctor Clients,
- We put up 14 Christmas Trees - one in each public room and each with a different theme.
- Nancy cooked two hams two Beef Wellingtons, two Turkeys, and two soups.
- We hired professional help to serve and kept a vintage “red and green” refrigerator on the front porch full of champaign.
- I bought these shot glasses thinking that the Peace Dove theme was appropriate for the party - but once we started the parties we realized that people preferred champagne out of “Partridge in a Pear Tree: glasses to hard liquor in a shot glass,
- So these glasses were packed up into the attic with all the Christmas ornaments!
We stopped having the Christmas Party when 9/11 happened and now that Nancy has retired from GAO, after 50 years of Federal Civil Service:
- WE realize that we need to down size/clear out the STUFF!
- And make it less of a strain on the survivor and executor if one of us dies and the other has to cope.
So, here we are with EIGHT gorgeous vintage “peace dove” shot glasses still in their original boxes!
If you like the design and use shot glasses, you may buy 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, or all 8.
On the other hand, they would make nice wedding gifts, or even wedding party favors - if you can imagine shot glasses there.
[I can tell you that these glasses will not work for that purpose! They have no stems and are surely too sturdy to shatter when stomped upon.]
In any case, they are suitable for purpose and we’d like to find an appreciate home for them.

If you buy 2, 4, 6 or 8 they will come in their original boxes. If you buy just ONE, I’ll wrap it carefully and guarantee delivery whole.
We want to find an appreciative home for the STUFF we have accumulated. We bought it all because we liked it and now that we NEED to downsize, we’d like to respect the STUFF, and perhaps raise a few dollars to help neighbors who have lost income due to covid.
