This is a 1989 Pacific Griffey Candy Bar YELLOW Ken Griffey Jr. Rookie graded BGS 7.5. This should have been a BGS 8, but Beckett is notoriously harsch on centering. These cards were inserts in the candy bar wrapper itself and are quite rare compared to other Griffey Rookie cards. As of the day this listing was updated, the PSA Population Report shows no PSA 7.5s graded and only 81 have been graded higher than this! Compare that to more than 104,000 1989 Upper Deck Griffey Rookies graded.
Griffey was one of the best players of his generation, but never had the opportunity to win a World Series. Junior was an AL MVP, 13x All Star, 10x Golden Glove, 7x Silver Slugger, 7th on the All Time Home Run list, and he was a 1st ballot MLB Hall of Famer with 99.32% of the vote. Yes, that means there were not 1 but 3 sportswriters that didn't think Ken Griffey Jr. belongs in the Hall of Fame. Someone tell me why ignorant people like that are allowed to choose Hall of Famers.
