Mechanically certified straightness

Some drummers may remember the embarrassment of rolling their sticks across the glass counter of their local instrument store to check for straightness. Weight matched for an even response across the kit

Sticks in each perfect pair of Vic Firth American Classic 5As are weighted within two grams of each other. This weight matching greatly reduces imbalances between the left and right hands, which is often felt when switching from traditional to open-handed technique or picking up sticks after a break.

Once sticks are sorted by weight, they’re then matched by pitch, within a quarter-tone of each other, to promote an even attack whatever hand you lead with.
