ESX Q-800A QUANTUM active subwoofer system for the spare wheel well and rims

 

The Quantum Q800A active subwoofer carries the genes of the V1100A, which took the lead in the 4/2018 issue of Car & Hifi Magazine as the test winner in the compact class. In the Q800A, a slightly smaller 20cm (8 inch) subwoofer works in a housing made from a combination of aluminum and plastic. Thanks to the sophisticated construction, a long bass reflex channel could be constructed around the subwoofer in the housing in order to elicit more deep bass from the woofer than usual. The special subwoofer was trimmed for very high efficiency without neglecting the lowest frequency ranges. It also has an extra reinforced glass fiber membrane to withstand the high pressures inside the housing. A fully-fledged class A/B amplifier with an output of up to 200 watts provides plenty of boost. Due to the small diameter of just 36 cm, the Q800A not only fits in spare wheel wells without a spare wheel, but can also be installed directly inside a spare wheel (from approx. 15 inch) with the supplied screw.
