Welcome. Thanks for stopping in. Up for sale is an Ampeg SS-70C 2x10 Combo Amplifier. This unit is SN-1601 manufactured in the USA around the mid 90s. This amp is fully tested and functional, has had a full exterior restoration, and is in very good condition. Intended for guitar, this amp's tone circuitry includes a great sounding stereo chorus, a wide variety of tonal variations, and with 70 Watts, plenty of power.

This amp is equipped with one (1) channel with 0db and -6db Mono/Stereo inputs with a Gain control and Master Volume. Equalization is provided by High, Mid, and Low controls. Activation of the Lead function using a pull switch, provides adjustable Gain, Level, and Presence to tailor your Lead sound. The Chorus function, activated by pull switch or foot switch, provides a smooth panning between left and right speakers with Depth and Rate controls to adjust the sound. The effect is smooth and deep. A Reverb circuit with the original Accutronics spring reverb pan, provides full depth Reverb using the Reverb control alone, or On/Off with a foot switch. An Effects Loop (High Impedance) introduces your own effects. Both Left and Right High and Low Impenance Line-Outs are provided on the back panel. The speakers can be muted using a switch on the back panel and both Left and Right external speaker jacks are provided there as well. A headphone jack is located on the front panel. The amp is equipped with the original, great sounding, Celestion G10L-35 10" Speakers, made in England. At 41 pounds, it will not take a fork truck to move this amp around. Foot switches are not provided. A double custom-made lighted footswitch to control the Reverb and Chorus can be provided at additional cost.

Internally, this amp's circuitry appears original. The potentiometers have been cleaned and conditioned, fresh heat sink compound provided on the output transistors, new soldered speaker wiring , and new electrical cord installed. Externally, this amp has one new custom-made knob cap (Input Gain), new black Tolex, new black grill cloth and piping, new hardware, new handle, and new rubber feet. There are minor scratches, imperfections, and metal oxidation typical of an amp nearly 40 years old. An extensive internet search to find an operating manual or full schematic was unsuccessful. After a moderate learning curve, you will be rocking before you know it.
