Higher quality vintage Swiss-made 8-day time-only travel timepiece marked Octava Watch Co. Switzerland in a folding green leather covered case, in good running order.
Movement marked: OCTAVA WATCH Co. SWITZERLAND, 15 FIFTEEN JEWEL, 3 ADJUSTMENTS, U.S.A.P. 816321
The dust cover to the movement is marked “SCHILD Co. SWISS” and “METAL” at the bottom
The top of the green leather case is highlighted with a gold color imprinted “Greek Key” design along the edges. Slightly convex, lightly beveled crystal. Stem winding, pull out to set time.
Based on design details, number of jewels and adjustments, the timepiece is likely to be pre-WW-II and circa 1930’s late-Deco period.
This timepiece is in original unrestored condition and in good running order although no cleaning or maintenance has been done (ran over 5 days on a near-full winding). Very quiet running consistent with jeweled Swiss movements.

Condition: USED, unrestored, no recent maintenance
Overall condition is judged as very good for its age, very original with typical vintage “patina”. The timepiece runs well and presents very nicely. There is no guarantee for continued performance.
The dial, Arabic numerals, and hands are original and in overall good condition. There is slight scattered gold paint loss to some of the numerals (see photos). The crystal has no noticeable damage but could use to be cleaned on the inside surface (requiring disassembly). Movement winding and time adjustment setting both function properly with the original stem and crown hardware. The gold colored plating throughout is very good with slight scattered tarnish. The movement is slightly loose in the case and rotates a little when the timepiece is being wound.
The leather covered case shows light external wear consistent with age and little use. The leather has scattered small “flea bites” and color loss along the case edges. There is a dark stain on one corner of the case bottom (see photos). The clasp latches properly. The interior case lining shows wear in the area of the winding stem and a few scattered stains (see photos).
